Where did the Mani-Mani statue come from?
What are the Mani-mani statue's origins? We all know that it was dug up by Lier X. Agerate in his little mine system, but how did the statue get down there? I intend to answer that. But before reading on, I advise you to read my theory topic on the Star Master at http://starmen.net/mother2/theories/081803.php, the first post. Copy and paste, copy and paste - that's an important skill you need in life.
Read my theory? Good. After the Tree of Enlightment died, the first humans settled the land around it and named the new country Dalaam. Of course, there were a few humans on earth, so that's how they got down there. The people in Dalaam noticed a big, golden tree on their land, so they cut it down and built a palace out of it. There were a few pieces left over, so they were thrown away. A few thousand years later, those thrown away pieces were noticed by a sculptor, so he took them home and made a statue out of it. It looked very evil, so the statue maker threw it in the river. The statue sank to the bottom of the river and lay there for a couple of more centuries. One day an ancient- type dam was built at the top of the river, and the river ran dry. The dam builders had underestimated how much water the dam would drain from the river under it, so they left. Meanwhile, the Mani-mani statue was left standing in the middle of what is now Scaraba.
Not too long later, a Scarabian man discovered the statue while he was lost in the desert. He brought the statue along with him and later found a town. Thinking that this statue had saved him from dying in the desert, he proclaimed it holy and told everyone about it. Since everyone agreed, they put the Mani-Mani statue in the middle of town and worshipped it. Everytime someone prayed at the statue, it would gain a little "prayer power", since it had been made from part of the Tree of Enlightment. After a while, the statue could do marvelous things, like lift a heavy boulder or put out a fire, with the prayer power.
Meanwhile, Gieuge, the Starmen, and the rogue Star Master noticed this statue and watched it through time. They saw that it was gaining a huge amount of power, enough to create alternate universes and dimensions, and Gieuge got an evil plan. Every night after the villagers left, Gieuge would reach out with his icy hand (haha...get it?) and rub off some of his evil power onto the Mani-Mani statue. Eventually, the Mani-Mani statue got MEAN - it would smash buildings with boulders and start fires. The villagers quickly threw away the statue, and Gieuge took it to be used in his plan for world conquest. But Gieuge realized that it was dangerous to go to Ness's time to use the statue, so he stayed in the past and buried the Mani-Mani statue where the Apple of Enlightment predicted Lier X. Agerate would dig it up. And that's a wrap.
