Slipping off the mortal coil only increased their hunger for crime and debauchery. Their unique... talents... pay the bills but the inability to feel pleasure drives them ever more violent.

The cactus wolf is a strange hybrid, built to stalk and guard unfettered and unfatigued in the burning sun of the desert. The waxy cacti keep it hydrated and cool, the canine components keep it well fed. Truly a fearsome beast, it stalks its quarry through the desert - tormenting them until they drop. A memento mori of the bare mortality evident in the desert wastes.

The first killing bite sends fibrous feelers through the Slitherhen in a capillary assault. Fungus starts to grow from the small creature as the Muttshroom starts to digest it before it even ingests it. It is not cruelty, it is merely natural efficiency. But its meal may soon be forfeit, as a hungry Dog Fish stalks in the distance. The Muttshroom starts to catch, but his, and everyone's satisfaction tonight is always in motion. Always tumbling, never certain.

A robot's systems fail in the desert, on a long forgotten highway. It lays there, a shell - unaware. The artificial world all around it begins to give away. The earth is swallowing the trappings of mankind. Sand and wind scar the land. The first weeds begin to invade this brave new world that Our Mother is carving out for all of her Children.
