Lumine Hall and the Spirits Within
From the ashened questions we let burn out, Pheen-X tries to bring these questions back to life, with an inferno of answers. Question, What is Lumine Hall, exactly? Why can it read your thoughts, and what is the significance of that spot in particular? This was one of the first places my start on theories lead me, and, well, have you ever wondered what happens to certain enemies you defeat? It's a strange thing to think of, but the mind and energy of the defeated enemies, end up within the Lumine Hall, hence how they can read your thoughts. Of course, the thoughts aren't evil, considering they have been released from Giygas's grasp. Either that, or they've come to understand how they've been defeated by someone stronger than them.
So, in some sense, the Lumine Hall is the sanctuary of peace and help. The rocks on the wall absorb the clean spirits, so they can give you one final message to help you on your journey. The spot is so special, because of the stones within them. The stones are the last in existence, said to have the ability to absorb lost spirits to help guide them. Sadly, it would have taken a rise of major evil and darkness to awaken them, and with Giygas's arrival, they activated once more. This may sound sad, but think, the free spirits are able to give you a kind-minded piece of advice. They say there's some amount of kindness in someone, and these spirit stones help show it.
Heck...you carry one the whole game of Earthbound. The 8 melodies you hear...are the last songs the 8 bosses spirits sing. Yep, the sound stone, is an awakened spirit stone. So, not only is the Lumine Hall a cave of filled spirit stones, but your sound stone, plays the bosses singing, so as to play the tune to the land of dreams, Magicant.
And thus, another question has been left to glow with the spirits, a happy, gentle flame. So with that in mind, this is Pheen-X, saying, keep your spirits up!
