Secret Items in EarthBound
There are many hidden items that exist in Earthbound. Most of them are weapons, but there is one rare item that isn't. If you ever look through your Earthbound Player's guide in the items section you've probablly noticed an item called the Xterminator Spray. When I first read this I thought, yeah right, that must be a mistake there's no such thing in the game. But then when I was playing the game the other night messing around in Fourside, beating on Mad Taxi's something happened. I beat a Mad Taxi and it said, "the enemy left behind a present." It was the Xterminator Spray!!! My theory is like all other rare weapons this item is able to be found from a Mad Taxi. I think that there is a 1 in 128 chance of recieving it. The Xterminator spray is an item that can be used by anyone, does 200 damage to every bug foe you are battling and can be used infinite times!! This is a very handy item.
Other secret items that can be found are:
Broken Antenna: Uncontollable Sphere in Lumine Hall, once Jeff fixes it it
becomes the Gaia Beam.
Sword Of Kings: Starman Super, Atomic Power Robot in Stonehenge Base.
Magic Frypan: The Chomposaur in the Lost Underworld has it.
Gutsy Bat: Kraken in Sea Of Eden has it.
Star Pendant: Major Psychic Psycho in the Fire Spring has it, (more than one, too!!) All of these items have a chance rate of 1 in 128 of finding. Most are worth it except the Star Pendant, if you happen to get one by luck that's ok, but don't try to get 4 for your whole team! The Earth Pendant in Magicant has the same effect almost, except without the immunity to Paralysis.
