All Questions Answered...Maybe
Now I know we've all been arguing about many aspects of EarthBound. Such as the situation concerning Ness' father. (This is known as "The Mother Connection". Please don't send me flaming mail because I mentioned it!) Also many articles have been written about Ness' grandparents and how Ness obtained PSI. And now there is controversy on the Mani Mani Statue and Pokey.
Well..........I think I can sum up the answer into about one [and a half] words. Mother3. Earthbound was the sequel to Mother, and their plots are very similar and integrated. Now if Mother3 is actually a sequel to EarthBound, many questions might be answered. From the the screenshots I've seen and the rumors I've heard about Ness not being in EB64, I think its a chance that EB64 might be an entire new game! I sure hope not.
There is a good chance that Mother3 might not be the final sequel to the Mother series. If this is the case, we'll have to wait another half decade for new answers. But if it took HAL and Nintendo 4 to 5 years to make EB64, I can almost guarantee that its the last of the series.
