A Hint for Ness's Dad
Okay, so we've all wondered who Ness's dad could be. Is he a friend, a monster in diguise, or simply just someone you never meet. Well, after beating Earthbound today for the 4th time, I think I have an answer. Ness's dad is the Hint guy.
As weird as this may sound, think about it. Ness's dad knows a lot about his son and his friends, so you must meet up with him at one point in the game. The hint guy is always in the same town as Ness and occasionly talks to him. Also, if you talk to a hint guy at the end of the game, he says "my work is done" or something like that. Also, if you talk to your dad on the telephone after Gigyas is defeated, he says he will be coming home.
Interesting, eh? The only thing is that the hint guy calls Ness at the end of the game "Master Ness" which is weird for a father to be calling his son. Even if this is all wrong, I will tell who Ness's dad probably isn't. He can't be the photo guy because once you beat the game your mom refers to the photographer as the photo guy, not your dad.
Also, Ness's dad is probably not Gigyas. It might be true, but remember the vision you have when you beat the last sanctuary? It was about 13 years in the past when Ness was a baby. I think that's also around the time you fought Gigyas in the past. Anyway, how could Ness's dad be Gigyas and a father to a hero at the same time? Besides, what kind of of woman would marry an evil being who wants do destroy everything? Remember, Gigyas could even be a woman, but I personely doubt that.
