This album contains 15 tracks straight from MOTHER 3. Unlike the MOTHER3+ album, none of the tracks are remastered or remade. However their overall quality sounds a lot better outside of a Gameboy Advance. Despite the lack of extra work on the tracks, this is considered to be the fan favorite since it offers a wide variety of music from the game.
MOTHER 3i was solely released digitally (hence the i) and can be found on the Japanese iTunes as well as a few other Japanese digital distribution sites. A few months after its digital release this album surprisingly found its way onto the American iTunes as well as a digital version of MOTHER 3+ (complete with a bonus track)!
